```Overview```
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our team. The Billing Clerk will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to Administrative Finance Department , which include but not limited to recording of daily receipts, answering phone, checking mail, order office supplies, assist with municipal travel arrangements, tallying deposits, petty cash custodial tasks, billings, mailings, office document filing, and other duties as requested by Finance Director.

```Responsibilities```

• Daily customer receipts, issues proper written receipt to customer
• Prepares daily/weekly bank deposits
• Enter customer cash receipt data into accounting database
• Maintain Petty Cash and prepare reimbursement request
• Receives requests for billing of services rendered from City departments
• Generates customer bill, records account receivable and tracks payments
• Maintains and bills annual leases and contracts such as tide land leases, utility construction contracts and loans for public improvements (special assessments)
• Generate monthly water sewer and boat harbor billings and mailings
• Generate month end statements on all open accounts
• Performs account analysis and reconciliation
• Coordinates collection of past due accounts
• Perform filing tasks as necessary for finance Department
• Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
• Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
• Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as requested.
• Works under the supervision of the borough Finance Director.
• Other Duties as assigned and or in cooperation w/other staff members
• Any other entry level administrative duties that may be directed/approved by supervisor
