Job Summary:
To oversee the planning, development, coordination, implementation, and management of all construction and renovation projects at UMMC. To participate in the development of construction projects. To ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field plus eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: NA
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures. Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in technical plans, blueprints, and drawings. Verbal and written communications.
Responsibilities

Coordinates with architects and outside consultants and accepts/approves design concepts while establishing budgetary expectations for construction projects.

Oversees (or directs) construction projects in logical steps and budgets time to meet deadlines.

Develops and implements systems and processes to establish and maintain records.

Maintains knowledge of automated computerized construction software to aid the design and implementation of projects.

Inspects and reviews projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and ordinances.

Directs and supervises employees to include work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
