Description
- Collect samples and perform routine medical laboratory testing procedures using a variety of laboratory instrumentation.
- Analyze the results of patient test printouts for questionable results, trends, critical. Repeat any critical or questionable results.
- Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols
- Maintain supply inventory
- Contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers by following established standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Maintains patient confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Medical Laboratory Associate Degree
- Completed Clinical Laboratory Rotation
- Minimum 4 years of laboratory experience (Preferred Core Lab Experience)
- ASCP MLT Certification or equivalent required
