What you do:

• Performs clinical testing in all areas of the laboratory with integrity and accuracy. 
• Obtains and receives specimens, performs quality control, performs preventive maintenance
• Interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
• Work independently, organize tasks to meet established deadlines
• Records all data obtained and maintains job competence.
• Work where activities are characterized by frequent change and interruptions. 
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment,
• Seek assistance when appropriate and necessary. 
• Complete written documents using appropriate verbal and written communication
• Integrity and accuracy in reporting of test results with basic computer skills
• Maintain patient confidentiality and utilize an effective interpersonal skill set.  

What you need:

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinic Lab Science or Medical Lab Science -- OR --
• Associate Degree of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or Clinical Lab Technology (CLT)
• New graduate’s degree must be validated within 2 months post-graduation
• Certified or certification eligible by ASCP and verified certification within 6 weeks of exam.
• ASCP-BOC certified within 6 months with first exam completed within 3 months of hire
• Meets all qualifications for performing highly complex testing as defined by CLIA. 
• 2 years recent experience in acute care facility preferred.
• 1 years of general laboratory experience is preferred.

Hiring Incentives:

• To be eligible for the hiring bonus and relocation bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position.
• Previous CentraCare/Carris employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
• Restrictions apply to relocation bonus. To qualify for the relocation bonus, the candidate must live at least 50 miles away from hired location and relocate within 30 miles of primary work location.
