Medical Librarian Assistant jobs in Lexington, KY
Medical Librarian Assistant assists the librarian and users with the operations of a medical library. Helps with computer searches, inter-library loans, cataloging, circulation, general reference and questions about library services. Being a Medical Librarian Assistant organizes and shelves materials and prepares new materials for circulation. May perform data entry to update library systems. Additionally, Medical Librarian Assistant may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Librarian Assistant works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
