Job Summary:
The Logistics Specialist deals with the shipping, storing, or warehousing, and receipt of goods and services for the company. In this role, the logistics specialist ensures that the company’s shelves are always stocked, that receipts and invoices are properly filled and entered, and orders that are made by the company are tracked by due date. The logistics specialist ensures sufficient inventory levels, working directly with sales and production to effectively forecast and plan inventory requirements. Additionally, this position schedules the movement, distribution and storage of supplies and materials for the company.
