This position requires a self- directed and organized individual to complete tasks in a timely matter.
Clinic providers rely on this person to follow up with patients on referrals and authorizations. Needs
to be alert to any concerns voiced by patients and their family.

Minimum Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification required:
Must be self-motivated, able to organize tasks and prioritize.
Basic medical terminology.
Experience with insurance company prior authorizations preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
(Must be able to perform with or without accommodation)
1 Obtains prior authorizations for ancillary services and prescriptive medications for CMMC-
facility wide & visiting/referring physicians.
2 Schedules referrals with specialist for CMMC Clinic providers.
3 Follow up on referrals with the provider office and patient to make sure the appointments are
scheduled in a timely matter.
4 Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrates excellent skills in public speaking
Ability to communicate and effectively work with hospital personnel, medical staff, media
representatives, business vendors, community leaders
Knowledge of community and its citizens
Skills in computer software such as Word, etc.
Ability to adapt to fluctuations in workload and work efficiently and effectively under stressful conditions.
Willingness to assume additional duties when requested and seek guidance and direction, when
needed, for performance of duties and ability to recognize, establish and respond to priorities.
