Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring timely and efficient freight management to consistently meet and surpass our clients' expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and accurately enter orders into our system
• Source and vet carriers to ensure they meet our company's stringent standards
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to optimize cost efficiency
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our key accounts, providing exceptional service and support
• Provide daily updates to customers while maintaining accurate records in our operating system
• Efficiently manage, track, and trace time-sensitive orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Collect and distribute all necessary documentation to relevant stakeholders
• Assist in resolving customer issues related to freight transportation
• Upload required documentation into the system to facilitate the billing process

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in third-party logistics (3PL) or transportation logistics
• Prior brokerage and drayage experience is essential
• Proficiency in handling open deck, dry van, and dispatching operations
• Strong negotiation and quoting skills
• Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of industry trends and interpret them accurately
• Exceptional multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Display leadership qualities in all situations
