Overview:
The Law Office of Chris Arce, P.C. is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with attorneys and case managers to deliver an exceptional client experience. They will be responsible for client intake, procuring and updating medical billing and records, and keeping cases files updated. This position requires a highly detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Client Intake: Handle client intake for incoming cases related to Family, Criminal, and Personal Injury cases. Open insurance claims, coordinate initial medical visits for Personal Injury clients, and send LORs and LOPs.
· Case Management: Open and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documents and information are accurately recorded and accessible for attorneys and case managers.
· Medical Billing Management: Coordinate with medical providers to track and manage billing related to clients' injuries or medical treatments.
· Payment Processing: Process payments for case expenses, medical bills, and client settlements.
· Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support such as answering phones, handling mail, scheduling appointments, and managing attorney calendars.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience: Previous experience working in a legal environment or similar administrative support role preferred.
· Education: Associate's degree OR equivalent relevant work experience required.
· Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
· Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks, particularly in document preparation and record-keeping.
· Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software preferred.
· Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
· Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
