*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support within our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. *Duties* - Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures. - Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation. - Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories. - Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes. - Provide exceptional patient service, addressing any questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism. - Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow within the facility. - Support internal medicine practices by applying knowledge of physiology and anatomy. - Assist in the operating room (OR) as needed, ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared and sterile. - Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in patient care. *Skills* - Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care. - Experience or familiarity with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) procedures is a plus. - Proficient in medical coding for accurate billing processes. - Excellent patient service skills with a focus on creating a positive experience for patients. - Ability to administer medications safely and effectively under supervision. - Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
