Medical Records Coding Manager jobs in Arkansas

Medical Records Coding Manager supervises and trains coding staff to ensure that the hospital receives appropriate reimbursement and conforms to applicable guidelines and regulations. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the coding process. Being a Medical Records Coding Manager knowledge in ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding required. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Medical Records Coding Manager typically reports to top management. May require AAPC or AHIMA coding certification. The Medical Records Coding Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Medical Records Coding Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
