    POSITION TITLE:      Mental Health (MH) Medical Records Supervisor

     

    SALARY RANGE:      $ 2,417.00 Salary/Monthly

    The person in this position is responsible for scanning documents into patient electronic health records (EHR) on a daily basis; opening, closing, and maintaining EHRs; ensuring all required documentation is scanned into the EHR prior to daily scheduled patient appointments; preparing requests for release of protected health information (PHI) within time constraints; maintaining the security of the patient records; serving as a member of the Clinical Records Committee; supervising one medical records clerk; providing back-up staff support for MH receptionists at AMH and Children’s MH clinics when needed; general clerical duties and works under the supervision of the Chief Operations Officer. Must be familiar with HIPAA rules governing the receipt and disclosure of protected health information.

     

     

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Some business or commercial college preferred.
    • At least a minimum of one year working with Clinical records; supervisory experience is preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates preferred.

     

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • Knowledge of clinical records
    • Knowledge of office practices.
    • Knowledge of clerical functions.
    • Ability to perform tasks requiring attention to detail.
    • Ability to work with special population.
    • Ability to type accurately.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with professional clinical staff.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

     

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Valid Texas Driver’s License required and reliable transportation.
    • Must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
    • Must be insurable and remain insurable on Center’s insurance.
    • Must be able to pass a background check.

     

    SHIFT

    Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
