Medical Records Research Coordinator is responsible for organizing and overseeing the record keeping activities pertaining to releasing and retrieving medical records for research projects. Ensures all medical records are tracked and released according to HIPAA guidelines. Being a Medical Records Research Coordinator may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Records Research Coordinator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     The RISK/HIM Clerk is responsible for gathering and assembling data, auditing for policy compliance, assembling medical records, analyzing discharged records, scan documents into EMR, assists staff in retrieving charts and file back after usage, making copies, loose filing, files records in to perm files, answers telephones, as well as other daily duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education: High School Diploma required. Prefer applicant with Associates Degree in Health Information Management.

    Experience:1-3 year medical records experience preferred.

    License/ Certification: CCA or CPC preferred
