Surgical Scheduler Position Summary

The Surgical Scheduler's primary function is to secure clinical patient information to accurately coordinate and schedule surgical procedures. The Surgical Scheduler schedules patient procedures based on provider volume; pre-registers patients in the EHR system to enable pre-procedure certification; identifies scheduling barriers and implements solutions; has proper clinical/insurance information for patients; assists with scheduling post-procedural care, and additional office-specific tasks as instructed.

Surgical Scheduler Position Requirements

• Previous physician office experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health record, medical terminology highly preferred.
• Experience in insurance verification, medical billing, collection and registration preferred.
• Familiarity with medical diagnostic procedures preferred.
• Computer experience and keyboarding (typing) required.
• High School graduate or equivalent required.

• Monday through Friday, Day Shift
