As a Medical Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by efficiently managing patient appointments and providing administrative support. Responsibilities:

- Schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of provider schedules

- Coordinate and confirm appointments through phone calls or electronic communication

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record systems (EMR)

- Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures

- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service

- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents

- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow

- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in medical administrative support or as a medical receptionist preferred

- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proficient in using computer systems and EMR software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks)

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

- Familiarity with insurance verification processes

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
