A Scribe is a person who specializes in charting physician-patient encounters in real-time, during medical examinations. You will have the opportunity to work side by side with physicians in many different specialties including the Emergency Department, Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, and more. Job Description:

• Accompany the healthcare provider into patient examination rooms to accurately document the history, physical, assessment, and plan directly into the electronic health record (EHR).

• List all proper diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and orders for labs, medications, and other consult services as dictated by the physician.

• Prepare healthcare provider charts as needed

• Comply with procedures and legal regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.

• Assist with various aspects of patient coordination of care as deemed necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 shifts a week

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to clearly communicate, orally and in writing

• Responsible and reliable with a passion for healthcare and learning

• Strong organizational skills

• Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM

• Comfortable with computers
