We are seeking a motivated Medical Scribe team member to support an innovative medical practice specializing in Interventional Pain Management seeking. This position will be helping assisting the PA Medical Director as a scribe and medical assistant in non-invasive diagnostic testing and managing all related administrative tasks. This is a full time position with direct reporting to the physician. Candidate must possess an impeccable work ethic and the self-discipline to maintain the highest quality of patient focused care. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This candidate will travel with the provider. Their current schedule is: Monday- Pleasant Hills, Tuesday- Connellsville, Wednesday- Greensburg, Thursday- Greensburg, Friday Connellsville. There will be a stipend for travel to the Pleasant Hills and Greensburg location depending on proximity.
Pain Management experience is not a requirement, but scribe experience in the medical field is preferred. Responsibilities include managing patients, data entry, tracking and processing entries on EHR. Answering phones, obtaining referrals and report tracking. Experience using EMR a plus. Experience using Microsoft Office suite is required. Maintain HIPAA compliance. Daily Responsibilities Include:
-Scribe all notes (in room with Physician for new patients or complicated follow ups)
-Prep notes before Physician sees the patient and update plan as briefly dictated after visit
-Handle work notes/excuses
-Handle all billing and screening on all med patients
-Ancillary paperwork and emails
-Talk to patients that call or need to be called to follow up
-Handle all messages from admins during the day regarding patients, bring issues to me and execute plan as directed
-Talk to doctor’s offices or pharmacies as needed to clarify issues or orders
-Maintain a folder of all patient/physician/attorney related forms and paperwork (disability, W/C forms) that need to be filled out and assist with timely completion and sending it to the appropriate place
-Interface with billing about note corrections and billing corrections and make all changes needed
-Do all procedure call backs and bring relevant issues to Physician.
-Travel to all offices with physician and be available for anything else that comes up
-Be a team player and when not busy or need is perceived, help MAs or admins with whatever is needed on a given day
