Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for multiple providers
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate documentation of medical records
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Utilize Elation and Procharge systems to update patient information and schedule appointments
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth office operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in office administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a receptionist or secretary in a medical setting preferred
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Elation or similar electronic medical record systems is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Experience with phone systems and handling high call volumes
-Phlebotomy certifications or Medical Assistant Certifications is a Plus
