Oversees department operations to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. Job Summary:
The Manager of Provider Credentialing plays a vital role within our Payor Strategy Team and is responsible for leading a team of Credentialing Specialists. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Credentialing & Enrollment.
Essential Functions:
Lead team of 10 Credentialing Specialists that oversee all Provider Credentialing for Aspen Dental
Organizes & leads the Credentialing Committee weekly.
Ensure that all licensure, certification, and CME is updated and active for all clinical and ancillary staff.
Supervises, plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the work product of team members.
Supervise and assist new providers with obtaining required clinical licenses and coordinates the full cycle onboarding.
Establish policies, procedures, toolkits, and best practices necessary for successful provider onboarding, including established timeframes, required documentation, and checklists.
Supervises the maintenance and monitoring all licenses and certifications.
Supervised the coordination of provider enrollment activities (including initial credentialing or re-credentialing) for all providers.
Ensure all facilities/practitioner licenses and certifications are accurate and in good standing at all times.
Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
Responds to requests from management/staff/providers/outside entities related to credentialing of practitioners.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or required experience)
CPCS or CPMSM certified strongly preferred
5-7 years of progressively responsible management or supervisory level credentialing experience in a health care setting with at least three (3) of these years' experience in a medium to large health system
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills a must
Detail oriented with a strong level of analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Highly self-motivated, directed and proactive
Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new technologies
Able to communicate effectively within department and with members of interdisciplinary teams
Demonstrates ability to lead, manage and motivate teams
In depth knowledge of credentialing NCQA Standards
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with credentialing software preferred
Salary range: ($75,000-$90,000/per year, DOE), plus annual bonus up to 10%
