    Job Summary :

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. The Credentialing Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that all healthcare professionals within our facilities are properly credentialed and compliant with regulatory requirements.

    This position is vital to the smooth and efficient operation of our healthcare facilities, and the successful candidate will have a strong commitment to accuracy, organization, and compliance.

    Responsibilities :

    This includes initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and ongoing monitoring.

    • Verification : Verify the credentials, licenses, certifications, and qualifications of healthcare professionals, ensuring that they meet all state, federal, and facility-specific requirements.
    • Documentation : Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date credential files for all healthcare providers, including documentation of education, training, licenses, and certifications.
    • Communication : Collaborate with healthcare providers, regulatory agencies, and internal staff to gather and communicate necessary information for credentialing and re-credentialing.
    • Compliance : Stay current with all relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices to ensure compliance in the credentialing process.
    • Data Management : Maintain accurate and organized databases and software systems for credentialing purposes, ensuring data integrity and security.
    • Reporting : Generate reports and track credentialing status to provide updates to the leadership team and ensure timely completion of all credentialing activities.
    • Quality Assurance : Participate in internal and external audits related to credentialing and assist in implementing corrective actions as needed.

    Requirements :

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field of study required - Master's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
    • Two (2) plus years experience in healthcare credentialing, preferably in a healthcare facility or medical group.
    • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA), and credentialing principles.
    • Experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel)
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in using credentialing software and databases.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
