Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking Medical Technologist’s to deliver the best possible medical care in LRH’s patient-focused setting.
SUMMARY:
Seeking a Medical Technologist to be a part of our laboratory team. This position will interact with the existing quality med techs at LRH and be a contributor toward improving the health and well-being of patients in the Iowa Great Lakes region. Opportunity to work alongside qualified techs in a clean and comfortable environment. The team has scored 100% on the last three CMS - CLIA Standard Inspections. Responsible for specimen collection and processing, test performance, and reporting of laboratory test results. Follows the laboratory's procedures for specimen collection and processing, timely test analysis, and maintaining records of patient test results. Performs proficiency testing and maintains records that demonstrate they are handled in the same manner as patient samples.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate or bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology is preferred. One year in a hospital setting is beneficial.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE &/OR REGISTRATIONS:
A training program in medical technology with board certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, HEW or other equivalent certification body.
