Medical Technologist - Hematology jobs in Minnesota
Medical Technologist - Hematology performs a variety of blood tests, studies morphology of blood constituents and performs various coagulation tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Conducts technical procedures related to the counting and identification of blood cells and other specialized hematologic tests. Being a Medical Technologist - Hematology verifies accuracy of findings, identifies test inconsistencies, and takes appropriate action to make corrections and resolve problems. Operates, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment used in blood analysis and procedures. Additionally, Medical Technologist - Hematology may perform urinalysis studies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Typically requires an American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or its equivalent. May require a state license to practice. Medical Technologist - Hematology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Position Highlights :

Job Summary
- Assist care for patients in the clinic setting.
- Work collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems.
Education and / or Experience
- Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with an Associate’s degree or diploma preferred.
- Six months to one year related experience and / or training preferred.
Certification, Licensure, Registration
- National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA); or
- National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or
- National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$18.50 - $25.75 per hour
