Medical Technologist - Microbiology jobs in Bergenfield, NJ

Immediate medical technologist/technician opportunity with one of the largest diagnostic laboratories in the state of New Jersey! This position requires a candidate with a bachelors degree in a science and experience with Urinalysis.

Description:

• Follows written lab procedures for the correct handling and processing of specimens.
• Utilize Roche instrumentation for autochemistry testing
• Trouble shoot any laboratory machinery equipment
• Provide software analysis for all results
• Reviews all pertinent SOPMs.
• Reviews accuracy and completeness of results prior to releasing in the Laboratory Information System (if applicable). Recognizes unexpected or unreasonable results and/or testing delays.
• Follows protocols for acceptance/rejection of patient results.
• Locating and transporting specimens as per company standards and protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related life science and/or combination of education and meets CLIA personnel standard criteria. Real time PCR a plus pipetting experience a plus
