Job Description: Experienced Automotive Service Manager
Gomez Auto Repair in Salinas is seeking a dynamic Experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead and grow our service department. Position Overview:
As the Automotive Service Manager, you will oversee the service department's daily operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a customer-focused individual with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of automotive repair, and the ability to mentor and manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers, identify their needs, and provide expert guidance on service options.
• Coordinate with mechanics and technicians to develop cost-effective solutions for repairs and maintenance.
• Explain service options, including OEM parts and warranty details, clearly and transparently to customers.
• Manage the shop’s workflow, ensuring efficient scheduling and timely completion of repairs.
• Track repair statuses, prepare detailed labor and cost reports, and conduct post-service inspections with customers.
• Handle financial transactions, including invoicing and payments, at the front desk.
• Perform customer service duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and updating customers on repair progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of service management experience in the automotive industry or similar.
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of automotive parts and repair processes.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 8-hour shifts.
• Day shift

Location:
Salinas, CA 93905. Reliable commuting or relocation plans required.
