Support Son Care Foundation, Inc. (Thousand Hills Pet Resort, Gentle Touch Pet Training, New Life K9s, Mission Cars, and Alpha Academy) as a direct and initial representative of the organization.

The primary purpose of this position is to find and secure grant funding so our nonprofit programs can continue to provide resources to those in need in our community. This position is crucial for the success of the programs. The work you do will be saving lives!

Role and Responsibilities

• Communicate the vision and mission of Son Care Foundation to current and future grantors to gain and maintain support.
• Organize a tracking system for analyzing funding sources
• Engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders

• Communicate with existing and potential grantors in person and through direct mail, email, and phone.
• Responsible for researching and identifying potential corporate, foundation, and government funders with follow-up to determine whether a grant request will likely succeed.
• Responsible for writing grant proposals.
• Contact grantors to determine deficiencies in our request and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 2 years of experience in grant writing and research
• Able to navigate Google Drive, task management programs, and online databases
• Strong communication skills: both writing and verbal
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience with nonprofits is required.

Additional Notes

• 10 hours per week to be completed during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm)
• This is not a remote position.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
