Meeting/Event Planner plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This full time position functions as the County Planner for Eddy County. This position shall be engaged in the development and implementation of the planning for future development in Eddy County. In addition, this position serves as back up to the County Floodplain Administrator and may be required to perform flood plain management information verification for the siting of new structures, proposed mobile home siting reviews and perform all record keeping in accordance with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). This position also performs reviews of proposed new subdivision exemptions, summary review replats, as well as type one through type five subdivisions according to the Eddy County Subdivision Ordinance. Conducts the Eddy County Planning and Development Advisory Committee meetings. The employee will serve as back up to the GIS Coordinator for assigning addresses in Eddy County to meet National Emergency Numbers Association (NENA), US Postal Service, and 911 database requirements, and duties include, but are not limited to, assigning new addresses as requested by property owners, maintenance of existing addresses as required or requested. Position also includes entering address information in all relevant computer systems including local or state E-911 systems. This position will coordinate and assist in all cooperative geographic information system functions. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and perform other duties as assigned. Employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision.
