Member Services Director directs and coordinates all aspects of the health maintenance organization (HMO) member services department. Plans and directs policies and objectives for addressing member inquiries. Being a Member Services Director establishes service quality goals for the department and implements strategies to meet these goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Member Services Director typically reports to top management. The Member Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Member Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of 50 FTEs, including the Manager of SPD and their dedicated team.
- Oversee the operations of 9 primary ORs and 1 hybrid, facilitating an impressive 5500 surgeries annually.
- Champion the growth and success of our surgical services, with a focus on Orthopedic, General, and Bariatric surgeries.
- Collaborate with 2 existing robots in the surgical arsenal, with a third one on the horizon.
- Coordinate with 3-4 service line leads to ensure streamlined and efficient service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a surgical services setting.
- Flexibility and adaptability are crucial; we need someone who is not rigid but thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Political savvy is a must; the ability to work alongside leaders and build strong relationships is essential.
- Adept at managing change and driving continuous improvement in surgical operations.
