    Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South was formed through a dynamic merger of local Club organizations in Southeastern Massachusetts. Our approach to driving systematic change is to address issues that negatively impact youth head-on, talking early and often about the importance of overcoming peer-pressure and breaking free from generational cycles of opportunity. We believe in an interdisciplinary approach to youth development, and so we work to address the root causes of the challenges facing our region’s youth.

    The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South is hiring for a Membership Coordinator in our Taunton Clubhouse. The Membership Coordinator is responsible for providing a meaningful Club experience, from an individual’s first point of contact with the Club to the daily engagement of current members. The Membership Coordinator must exude professionalism and confidence in knowledge of Club programming, implementing the Club’s Member Engagement Principals of welcome, connect, support, and invite during all member and guest interactions.

    This position requires a knowledge of sales and customer service. This position will focus on the member and parent experience through verbal & written communication and facility cleanliness/maintenance by which we attract and retain members, positioning the Club for continued growth. The Membership Coordinator will assist to increase member units, as well as, increase retention, engagement, and appreciation of current members.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Actively promote membership enrollment; collect and input all membership
    • applications.
    • Ensure that membership files are properly stored and up to date and accessible to
    • senior management staff only.
    • Sign members in as they enter the building, track and enter all participants in to the
    • daily attendance each morning/afternoon.
    • Track daily, weekly and monthly membership attendance for average daily attendance
    • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reports for member tracking.
    • Input daily member activity sheets.
    • Enforce behavioral/policy issues within membership, delegating respective consequences.
    • Process membership billing, renewals and cancellations.
    • Record payments for membership, cards and donations.
    • Reaches out to prospect members to promote BGCMS programming and other opportunities.
    • Actively promote programming to our current and prospective members.
    • Assist in the promotion of building rentals outside of traditional programming hours.
    • Handle all phone communications for the Club and appropriate staff including answering questions and directing calls where needed for appropriate follow-up.
    • Provide excellent customer service, including but not limited to all members, families,
    • community partners and other guests.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Must be at least 21 years old.
    • Experience in sales, customer service experience.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational and oral and written communication skills
    • Previous experience working with diverse populations.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
    • Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
    • Experience working with children.
