Men's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's men's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire men's coaching staff. Being a Men's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Men's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Men's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Men's Athletics Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Lawrence Technological University Athletics is comprised of 27 teams with affiliations in the Mid-States Football Association, ACHA, NACE, WHAC, and the NAIA. Located in Southfield, Michigan, Lawrence Tech is one of the premier Universities in Metro Detroit. The Athletic Communications Director position is a full-time 12-month position, reporting directly to the Athletic Director, and will be a member of the Executive Leadership team within the Athletic Department.

    Responsibilities | The Athletic Communications Director will be involved in the day-to-day operations, including but not limited to developing and implementing the department's communication and digital media plan, while working closely with Yellow Flag Productions to meet these plans. The person in this role will possess very strong creative technical skills (writing, photography, and graphic skills) and will have demonstrated the ability to communicate with a wide range of diverse audiences, such as internal and external constituents.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE | Oversee all aspects of the Athletic Communications Department, including student-assistants, graduate assistants, and Yellow-Flag Productions Relationship. Other aspects include but are not limited to weekly releases, weekly awards, statistics, and other duties assigned. Respond to media requests and form and maintain relationships with Detroit Sports Media alongside maintaining requests from internal and external audiences. Provide Photography at all Home Events, sharing with fellow Conference Athletic Communication Staff throughout the year. Maintain Statistics through NCAA Genius and Presto Sports, and maintain Athletic Department Website through SIDEARM. Ensure the accuracy of the information on all platforms, including the conference schedule page, athletic department web page, and social media for each sport. Maintains record books, ensuring the accuracy of the information. Including but not limited to Hall Of Fame information, Individual Sports, etc…

    YELLOW FLAG DUTIES | Streaming of Games/ Post Game Highlights Social Media Gameday Posts /Interviews of Coaches and Staff Media Days (Coordinates with Athletic Communications Staff) Post Game Film Upload Social Media Monitoring (Will work hand-in-hand with Athletic Communications Staff)
