Merchandise Planner - Deli jobs in New Haven, CT

Overview:
We are looking for someone to join our deli family of warm, caring, passionate employees who have been with us for many years. Someone who truly enjoys the love of customer service and being apart of a team that works together to give our customers a genuinely comfortable and inviting experience! Hours are not set yet but do not expect to exceed 20 hours a week, please inquire if interested or with any questions!

Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot foods
- Assist customers in selecting products and provide recommendations
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including food preparation surfaces, equipment, and display cases
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the freshness and quality of products
- Receive, unpack, and stock deli inventory
- Assist with inventory management
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints
- Upsell additional products or promotions to customers

Qualifications:

- 3 years of customer service, food prep and handling experience are needed

- Serv Safe Certification is good to have, but not required
