    In-Store Produce Independent Contractor position at the Newport NS Commissary. 


    The Independent Contractor will assist in meeting the demands of the department by providing the labor to support the goals of Produce Manager and Produce Specialist. The Independent Contractor will be scheduled to assist throughout the week and weekends as agreed upon with the Produce Manager for the best benefit of the produce operation and Commissary Patron. 


    Position is for 32 – 40hrs a week.

    Requirements

    Priorities, Expectations, Criteria include: 

    • Monitoring of plant area as well 
    • Self-starter, motivated and flexible 
    • Able to prioritize workloads 
    • Knowledge of Produce a plus, culling, rotation and proper display technique 
    • Able to build or replenish displays 
    • Cleanup of work area 
    • Able to provide feedback and support
