Merchandiser jobs in Paterson, NJ

Merchandiser merchandises products and implement merchandising plans in a retail environment. Works closely with store sales staff to improve the consumer buying experience by providing support for merchandising plans. Being a Merchandiser monitors inventories and sales and generates reports for product lines. Troubleshoots delivery or vendor issues and develop solutions to ensure product availability. Additionally, Merchandiser coordinates maintenance of pricing, markdowns, on-order, and merchandising guidelines and product knowledge information with sellers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to manager. The Merchandiser occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Merchandiser / Mercaderista

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that stores and your shelves are stocked with the right types and quantities of products.
    • Display, arrange, price tag, and rotate products in store.
    • Maintain store shelves by removing dated or damaged products.
    • Monitor store inventory based on sales and intake.
    • Optimize sales volume by identifying profitable lines and bestsellers.
    • Increase the space on the assigned shelves.
    • Increase the number of products sold per brand.
    • Make recommendations for promotional strategies.
    • Work and communicate with buyers, stores manager, and supervisors.
    • You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.

    Qualifications for Merchandiser

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • 1-2 years of experience working in retail or merchandising.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service.
    • Valid driver's license and own vehicle required.
    • Ability to bend, use step ladder.
    • Bilingual Spanish/English a must.
    • Must have clean driving record and knowledge of tri-state area
