Merchant Card Customer Service Manager manages a team of merchant card customer service representatives. Establishes service standards and monitoring processes to identify and resolve performance issues with team or service systems and procedures. Being a Merchant Card Customer Service Manager provides development and training that ensure the team is prepared to provide efficient service. Coordinates with other internal functions to provide any technical or other services that are needed. Additionally, Merchant Card Customer Service Manager recommends changes to products or services to fulfill customer needs and to address new or unmet business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Merchant Card Customer Service Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Merchant Card Customer Service Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Customer Service Representative will assist the insurance sales producers in maintaining insurance policies for clients.
    Principal Duties and Responsibilities
    • Interact with insurance sales producers, clients and insurance carriers to provide coverage information and provide policy recommendations where necessary
    • Complete a variety of day-to-day client service transactions, including but not limited to endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations
    • Handle incoming claim calls from clients
    • Take premium payments from clients
    • Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating and compliance requirements

    • Always provide outstanding customer service
    • Ability to be goal-oriented, self-starter with strong work ethic
    • Available to travel, as needed.
    • Support and promote the Bank vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.
    • Must have excellent analysis, observation and decision-making skills.
    • Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with Board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community.
    • Individual should be able to work under high pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere and then should remain composed.
    • Provide a strong, compassionate and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects.
    • Comply with federal and state regulations as well as all established Bank policies and
    procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Strong organization and time-management skills.
    • Team player with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Flexibility, professionalism, ability to work in a highly stressful environment and perform a variety of tasks with numerous interruptions is necessary.
    • Positive attitude, self-motivator, goal-oriented with the ability to foster strong relationships.
    • Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, preferred but not required
    • Ability to use a PC
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Must be able to be physically present in the office to perform job duties.
