WHAT YOU’LL DO AT COASTAL
The primary focus of this position is to develop new merchant services clients. This is accomplished through a combination of self-generated leads, prospecting, networking and working with bank staff.
HOW YOU’LL DO IT
· Deliver a consultative sales approach by helping business clients to assess their payment processing needs and then delivering solutions that address those needs.
· Present completed Merchant proposals to the Merchant prospect.
· Self-generate leads and referrals for sales opportunities.
· Participate in training with Merchant Vendor to improve sales and understand product offerings.
· Responsible for meeting sales volumes and/or profitability goals and standards of activity, such as number of sales calls, sales goals and referral goals for other bank products.
· Conduct joint business development calls with Relationship Managers, Treasury Management, BDO’s and Branch staff to identify sales opportunities.
· Compliance with all regulatory requirements.
· Stay up-to-date with new features and product launches.
· Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Previous outside sales experience with business clients.
· Previous Merchant Services sales experience to businesses.
· Experience in Treasury Management a plus.
· PC Experience navigating in a Windows environment and using multiple applications.
