Merchant Chargeback Analyst Sr. is responsible for investigating and reversing credit card charges disputed by the account holder. Processes refunds to the merchant or cardholder; tracks chargebacks and refers fraudulent activity to the appropriate department. Being a Merchant Chargeback Analyst Sr. may require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Merchant Chargeback Analyst Sr. gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. How you will make an impact - Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Engage in various department-wide initiatives - Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management - Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP - Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors - Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. - Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary - When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls.
