Job Description
SUMMARY
The Sr. Analyst role provides data analytics and decision support to AP, EHS, and Field leadership functions. This role will be primarily responsible for the data analytics in our PowerBI suite of analytics and reporting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to data integrity, data automation, visualization design and storytelling, dashboard creation and administration. This role will be critical to ensure we are empowering our corporate and field partners with timely, accurate, and insightful analytics to influence business decisioning and action.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, construct, test and maintain a variety of data explorations, data wrangling, and data visualizations using Power BI
- Lead and Coach team members and assist with their work
- Work collaboratively to facilitate technical design of complex data sourcing, transformation and aggregation logic, ensuring business analytics requirements are met.
- Ensure best practices and standards around Power BI Development
- Employ a variety of analytical techniques to discover, identify, and conclude ad-hoc analysis both reactively to leadership requests and proactively as opportunities are identified
- Develop and automate the delivery of analytical methods and standardized reporting to be used in Executive level presentations or distributed to end users
- Maintain knowledge and stays current of developments in the fields of technology, business intelligence, data warehousing, data science, and emerging technologies (machine learning, AI, etc.)
- Access and Integrate information/data from a variety of sources for analytics and reporting
- Define and document core business metrics, definitions, and logic collaborating with the business teams
- Continuously work to create efficiencies and improvements within reporting, procedures, scheduling processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in Power BI including data automation, report creation and data visualization
- Extensive experience building complex DAX functions, SQL scripts, reports, and dashboards
- Expertise in Microsoft products, specifically Excel
- Experience working with data flows, data sets, and data pipelines within Power BI
- Knowledgeable in Business Intelligence Life Cycle; from data ingestion to data visualization
- Has strong presentation and collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation
- Ability to apply analytical methodologies (Statistical Modeling, Financial Analysis, Market/Competitive Research)
- Independent. Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to quality, reconciliation, and accuracy are critical as the audience is often executive level staff and the decisions being made are significant in scope/impact
- Self-Starter. Possesses strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and demonstrated ability to reprioritize accordingly. Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to machine learning and AI type concepts is a plus
- Knowledge of advance programming languages such as Python, R, VBA
- Background in Retail business
