  • Overview

    Responsible for management of client relationships from initial request for quote or proposal through the entire client contract lifecycle.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervision of client services staff
    • Creation, monitoring and updating of client contact schedule
    • Develop and update cost estimation sheet to be used for proposal pricing
    • Management of the sales email:
      • Send acknowledgement to client within a commercially acceptable timeframe;
      • Assign RFQ to member of client services team to develop estimate in coordination with operations personnel and draft proposal;
      • Distribute emails related to client questions or concerns to General Manager, Radiation Protection, Operations, and/or Business Operations departments to respond and follow up to confirm resolution.
    • Responsible for proposal review, approval and follow-up:
      • Review cost estimate work up to ensure all costs are taken into consideration in the project pricing;
      • Provide feedback to contracts or sales team member regarding changes or clarification, if necessary;

     

    • Follow up, or coordinate follow up phone call to client to ensure there are no questions or comments;
    • Monitor proposal status and periodically reach out to client regarding “issued” proposals.
    • Management of client PO/contract
      • Ensure compliance with work flow process procedure:
      • Interface with the Operations and Finance groups throughout the project to confirm funding and contract expiration dates are sufficient.
      • Contact clients to obtain required PO change orders when necessary
      • Confirm PO/contract change orders are in compliance with the work flow process procedure
      • Review PO/contract language to ensure compliance with scope of work, Alaron procedures/Quality Assurance Manual. Provide updated language and coordinate with clients as needed.
    • Maintain sales records
      • Upload client contact information and contact notes in Salesforce
      • Verify all documentation, i.e., RFQ, cost workup, proposal, contract checklist, approved contract, email communications, is saved in the appropriate location on the server
      • Prepare reports and documentation for management review

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
    • 8-10 years work experience in management of contracts and interfacing with clients
    • Significant direct supervision of employees
    • 5-10 years of nuclear industry—commercial, decommissioning, Government—experience required
    • 5-10 years of sales/business/proposal development experience required
    • Must be a US Citizen

     

     Certification/Licenses:

    • 40 hour Radiation Worker Certification

     

    Reports to:

    • General Manager (GM)

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

    • Extensive knowledge in: contract management, project management, nuclear industry operations and safety practices and policies, and other federal, state, and local regulations
    • Strong client service orientation
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and various email software
    • Strong team player
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Enforces all compliance, health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with Alaron and Veolia requirements
    • Apply independent and critical decision/discretion/judgement on matters of significance to Alaron’s operations
    • Attends and arranges for all required training courses
    • Daily and weekly employee timesheets
    • Maintains a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting alternative solutions to existing or potential problems
    • Provides leadership by hiring, scheduling, managing performance, and developing staff
    • Assists with the training of team members to ensure appropriate performance standards within the various functional areas of the site

     

    Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work at Alaron facility 1-2 week(s) per month (or at request of General Manager)
