Meter Maintenance Technician jobs in Levittown, NY

Experienced Maintenance Technician wanted for a full-time position. Hours are 7am to 3pm. Monday through Friday with some overtime as needed. . Pay rate is $23 Hourly. Minimum 3 years’ experience. Certification a plus in HVAC, electric, plumbing and carpentry. Maintain two main office buildings and field work when required. A valid driver’s license is required and your own vehicle use is mandatory. Three years experience in general maintenance and repair as well as the ability to work independently.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus Trade Certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot/repair basic plumbing and electrical issues
• Overall knowledge and ability to utilize basic hand tools a must
• Three years’ experience in general maintenance and repair
• Strong appliance diagnostics/repair background
• Valid driver’s license

• RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Ensure assigned homes meet agency standards for safety. Location: Suffolk County.
• Complete all work assignments in an efficient manner.
• Must have ability to perform snow removal and landscaping tasks as needed and assigned, including providing on-call support during storms or other emergencies.
• Correct any identified maintenance needs.
• Purchase and store necessary equipment and supplies.
• Submit receipts of all purchases made on a weekly basis.
• Establish systems to ensure for ongoing routine maintenance.
• Scheduling flexibility as needed.
• Attendance at weekly scheduled maintenance meetings.
• Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices.
