Being a Meter Maintenance Technician inspects area for gas leaks and provides resolutions to customer issues. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Meter Maintenance Technician typically reports to a manager. The Meter Maintenance Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Position Summary
A Water Meter Technician works in the field removing, installing, and programming small “Smart” meters for residential utility customers; opening and closing work orders in a work order management system (WOMS); resetting and replacing meter boxes and lids; replacing ancillary fittings. Employees in this class must follow all safety procedures and use appropriate person protection equipment and other safety devices. Must have a positive attitude and the willingness to learn. We will train.
