Meter Reader is responsible for reading electric, gas, or water meters. Keeps track of their use by recording appropriate information. Being a Meter Reader inspects meters for damages or defects. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Meter Reader typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Meter Reader may require 0-1 year of general work experience. I, incl. knowledge & understanding of all aspects of domestic plumbing (identification/troubleshooting wtr leak(s) & confirm leak(s) stopped. Possess Grade I Water Use Efficiency Practitioner cert. from AWWA CA/NV Section. May consider Grade II Water Distribution cert. in lieu of Wtr Use Efficiency. SEE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DETAILS.
