Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Café Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our customers while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, hospitality, and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall operation of the café, including food preparation, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and presentation styles that meet the highest standards of quality and appeal to a diverse customer base.
- Supervise a team of cooks, servers, and hosts to ensure seamless service and maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
- Conduct staff training sessions to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and food preparation.
- Monitor and control labor costs, inventory levels, and other expenses to maintain a profitable operation.
- Manage budgets and make adjustments as needed to ensure the café is meeting its financial goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to source high-quality products at competitive prices.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe environment for employees and customers.
- Respond to customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food management and preparation, preferably in a café or casual dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Familiarity with the food industry and its trends.
- Experience with coffee preparation and knowledge of different coffee-making methods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field preferred.
