Millwright maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Being a Millwright interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Additionally, Millwright troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require OSHA Forklift Operator Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Millwright works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Millwright typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.     Key Responsibilities and Expectations: 

    Perform preventive and predictive maintenance using vibration analysis, oil analysis, and motor circuit testing.

    • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance using vibration analysis, oil analysis, and motor circuit testing as required
    • Interface with customers and completing work at customer sites
    • Perform laser alignments and dynamic balancing
    • Change out rotating equipment, align, and perform baseline vibration
    • Troubleshoot vibration problems
    • Perform infrared survey on mechanical, electrical, or process equipment
    • Complete field service tickets for all jobs with customer approval signature
    • The ability to maintain schedule adherence of job orders
    • Must have the ability to operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner.
    • Travel to customer sites in and out of the state of FL
    • Must be able to travel, in a company service vehicle, throughout the local counties
    • Must be able to be on-call for emergency services after-hours, weekends, and holidays if required

     

    Qualifications and Competencies: 

     

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Technical degree a plus
    • Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience with proficiency in dynamic balancing, laser alignment, and other mechanical repairs on rotating equipment
    • Vibration analysis certification and computer experience desired
    • Must have a satisfactory driving record with the ability to obtain a DOT medical certification
    • Good communication skills, enthusiastic attitude, and great customer service skills are a must
    • Must be able to respond to emergency service calls as needed
    • Spanish Speaking is a plus
