The North Dakota Public Service Commission seeks to hire a highly skilled director to perform complex managerial, leadership, and professional assignments in coal mine regulation. This individual will manage and direct activities within the Reclamation and Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Divisions of the Public Service Commission (PSC).
The Reclamation Division administers and enforces the coal regulatory program that minimizes environmental impacts of mining and ensures surface coal mined lands are reclaimed to beneficial and productive uses.
The AML Division selects, designs, and manages reclamation projects to eliminate potential or existing hazards associated with abandoned surface and underground coal mines in North Dakota.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a natural or physical science or a civil, mining, environmental or geological engineering degree and four years of work experience in the mining regulatory process OR a Bachelor's degree in business and six years of experience in the mining regulatory process.
All applicants must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
