Mixer / Baker’s Assistant
Department: Baking

Reports to: Head Baker / Department Manager

Our Baking Department is the center of everything we do. We are seeking a self motivated individual with a passion for baking, a positive, friendly and outgoing personality. Responsibilities:

• Daily production for items, including but not limited to cakes, bread, croissants, cookies, etc.
• Arrives to work on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts
• Daily quality checks of products
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Operates quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, time-driven environment, while ensuring consistent, high quality products
• Ability to follow a recipe
• Basic math skills necessary for recipe conversions and/or modifications
• A genuine passion and knowledge for food and pastries
• Knowledge of how to work with a dough sheeter, mixers and ovens
• Dependable and hard-working
• Must be meticulously clean and aware of all food safety standards

Experience: Entry Level - no prior experience required / strong willingness to learn

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

• Must have the physical ability to carry out the functions of the job
• Standing/walking 6-8 hours (in an 8-hour work day)
• Ability to lift <50lbs
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
• Exposure to temperatures: <32°F (freezers), 32-40°F (refrigerators), >90°F
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, and other heavy machinery
• May require use of ladders

Position Type: Available Part Time / Full Time Preferred

Availability:

• Tuesday - Sunday (closed Mondays)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
