POSITION SUMMARY

As the Mixer Operator, you’ll be responsible to place scaled ingredients into a mixer per batching instructions in order to produce the final product mix/batch. Additional duties of operating other equipment in the mixing room may be required.

WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS)

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years working in a food manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of food manufacturing processes, tools and machines
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to understand and perform following directions given, understand Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and maintain high quality workmanship
• Ability to effectively communicate to employees in various positions and at all levels
• Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

WHAT YOU’LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

• Requires the learning and operating of mixing equipment along with supporting machinery and controls. Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment
• Follow mixing formula to produce an acceptable and in specification final batch
• Closely monitor temperatures, processing time, ingredient types and amounts to ensure consistency and quality per batching instructions
• Ability to manage inventory control/tracking of various ingredients going into individual and distinct batches
• Work in accordance with the established policies and procedures to maintain a clean/safe working environment within the facility and property surrounding the building
• Decrease product variability through proper equipment preparation and conduct all assigned work in compliance with established procedures
• Meet or exceed daily production requirements as set by the production schedule
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping on work completed
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work occasionally near mechanical parts and energized equipment which may produce moderate to high level of noise
• Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free manufacturing environment
