Our government client is looking for an experienced Java/J2EE Developer (Mobile Applications) on a hybrid 9 months renewable contract role in Harrisburg, PA.
Position- Java/J2EE Developer (Mobile Applications)
Role and Responsibilities:
Development of backend systems for Mobile Applications.
Demonstrate knowledge in a wide range of backend systems and protocols.
Assist in project planning to develop timelines and ensure capacity.
Follow department and industry best practices for processes and standards to promote consistency and improve productivity.
Design and create database schemas to be implemented in a range of database platforms, including DB2 and Oracle RDBMSs.
Participate in server-side code reviews to ensure alignment with best practices and coding standards.
Participate in the full SDLC process of Mobile Application solutions.
Develop code deliverables utilizing Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, XML, JDBC, SQL, and web services to be deployed via standard server instances, such as JBoss, and microservices architecture.
Participate and provide feedback in meetings, including daily standup meetings.
Support product deployment and product validations.
Provide operational production incident support for applications assigned.
Utilize Mobile application development teams Azure cloud environment and related Azure cloud environment services, IDEs with integrated tools, automations and pipelines, binary repository management tools, and monitor apps using Splunk and AppInsights to ensure optimum service delivery and environment uptime.
