Our client is a well respected healthcare fund management company serving more than 190,000 employees. The main objective of this position is to offer advanced technical support and project management in the Analytics Engineering section of the Analytics department. The role involves enhancing database structures, automating procedures, and maintaining as well as updating the Fund's medical reporting systems. Additionally, it includes managing supporting processes like the accurate identification of covered individuals, providers, and categorization of services and diagnoses.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS

    • Application and Report Development: Design, develop, and thoroughly test applications and reports using MS SQL, MS PRB, SSIS, DAX Studio, Power Automate, and Power BI.
    • Data Management: Maintain and update the data operations within the CDW and reporting/analytic layers, ensuring accuracy and leveraging Data Quality support as needed.
    • Data Ingestion and Outputs: Manage all data transfers aligned with the Analytics team, including medical claims, lab data, and various other inbound/outbound datasets.
    • Programming and Data Analysis: Exhibit high-level programming and data analysis skills, capable of reviewing, auditing, and interpreting data independently.
    • Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain a data quality assurance process to ensure data accuracy before application loading.
    • Regulatory and Product Knowledge: Understand and interpret regulation and product specifications, such as data requests and healthcare metrics.
    • Documentation and Code Review: Maintain detailed documentation of all development activities and conduct code reviews.
    • Team Contribution and D&I: Contribute to team goals and support a diverse and inclusive work environment, aligning with the Fund’s BETTER Values.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Development Experience: Over 10 years with SQL Server and 7 years in data analytics, preferably in healthcare.
    • BI Tools Proficiency: At least 3-5 years of experience with Power BI, including data flow and metric development.
    • Industry Knowledge: Proficient in healthcare coding systems like ICD, CPT, and revenue codes, with a solid understanding of relational database best practices.
    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Informatics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
    • Preferred: Master’s degree.
    • Technical Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and development tools like MS SQL and Power BI.
    • Communication and Problem Solving: Strong abilities in both written and verbal communication and problem-solving.
    • Project Management: Capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
    • Travel and Work Schedule: Ability to travel 5-10% and work a flexible schedule, including potential hybrid remote work.
