Job Summary

We are looking for an individual to join our client’s team as a Monitor Technician. You will be responsible for the continuous observation, interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac rhythms.

Job Description

• Maintains continuous observation, interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborates with the clinical team in maintaining individualized alarm parameters.
• Documents patient information related to telemetry initiation and discontinuation, and escalation of alarm information to RN and/or provider.
• Cleans and prepares telemetry transmitter device and tracks telemetry-related equipment and supplies, troubleshoots monitor and transmitter functions with the team.

Skills Required

• 1 year of acute care experience, vital signs.
• Medical terminology.
• Cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Correct monitoring lead placement.
• Cardiac waveforms, rhythms, and measurements.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Completed High School (Diploma or GED).
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• EKG Certification (required).
• Telemetry Certificate Course or equivalent (on-the-job training).

Additional Requirements

• Malpractice Insurance - All Credentialed Providers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice.
• Shift Time: 3:00 PM-11:30 PM; Rotating weekends are a requirement, and workers must report as scheduled including holidays.
