Mortgage Credit Analyst assesses the risk and creditworthiness of loan applicants and recommends loan approval, terms, or application denial. Gathers necessary credit, income, and tax information to conduct financial assessments. Being a Mortgage Credit Analyst reviews and verifies property appraisals, collateral value, and key indicators such as debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios. Prepares a detailed credit analysis and summary using underwriting guidelines, risk assessment frameworks, and following applicable regulatory compliance. Additionally, Mortgage Credit Analyst may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Mortgage Credit Analyst work is closely managed.     EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

    Assists with the marketing and public relations initiatives of the organization. Research industry trends and demographics in the field of membership and develops recommendations for community and brand engagement efforts. Coordinates member surveys and interacts with members to research member needs.

    Assists with the design, development, and implementation, of marketing and public relations programs. Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates results of the programs. Maintains and enhances social media outlets for marketing presence. Keeps website and other digital platforms updated. Keeps abreast of changing trends in the marketplace.

    Creates and reviews the production of marketing materials, promotions, letters, direct mail, press releases, publications, seminars, and media campaigns. Assists with ensuring that all marketing and public relations materials comply with State and Federal rules and regulations for the credit union.

    Serves as an educational liaison for the Credit Union. Regularly visits local businesses and events to promote the Credit Union and discuss financial literacy. Assists with the training of new products and marketing programs and promotions. Serves on committees or groups to provide assistance and expertise on the credit union movement. Always ensures the courteous and considerate interface with members and coworkers.

    Implements strategies for serving and acquiring select employee groups (SEGs). Regularly visits SEGs to promote the credit union’s products and services and maintain a positive relationship. Assists with member inquiries about promotional and marketing programs as well as all credit union products and services.

    Performs a combination of correspondence related functions. Type’s letters, memoranda, reports, and other materials from drafts or as instructed. Compiles information and routes to appropriate departments. Responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti Money Laundering Acts including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position.

    Performs other duties as assigned or required.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

    • Knowledge of applicable credit union rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders, case law and other governing rules and regulations.
    • Knowledge of the UniWyo FCU policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of the principles of file and records management.
    • Knowledge of social media platforms.
    • Knowledge of marketing principles, theories, and practices.
    • Skill in reading, understanding, interpreting, and applying relevant city, county, state and Federal statutes, rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders, case law and other governing rules and regulations.
    • Skill in positive interpersonal communication.
    • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
    • Skill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments.
    • Skill in assessing, analyzing, identifying, and implementing solutions to complex problems.
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, other UniWyo FCU employees, representatives from other credit unions, the news media, general public and/or others having business with the UniWyo FCU.
    • Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software and operating systems/applications.
    • Skill in using publishing software to design, develop and publish marketing material.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    An associate degree in marketing, business, finance, accounting, or closely related field AND one (1) year of relevant marketing, advertising, media, promotions, sales or closely related experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • May be required to lift and/or carry heavy, bulky supplies, materials and/or other items weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • May be exposed to potential physical harm and infectious diseases.
    • May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
    • May require frequent travel.
