Gathers necessary credit, income, and tax information to conduct financial assessments. Being a Mortgage Credit Analyst reviews and verifies property appraisals, collateral value, and key indicators such as debt-to-income and loan-to-value ratios. Prepares a detailed credit analysis and summary using underwriting guidelines, risk assessment frameworks, and following applicable regulatory compliance. Additionally, Mortgage Credit Analyst may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Mortgage Credit Analyst work is closely managed. IS THIS POSITION FOR YOU?
As a Mortgage Department Generalist, you will provide information to members regarding mortgage loan products, process mortgage loan applications in person, online, and by mail. Prepare mortgage loan applications and closing documents. Work toward overall credit union goal of providing superior service to members.

Education
Minimum high school diploma. Business school or other business training is desired.
Experience
Prefer one year of office experience. Proficient computer skills, along with good typing skills, are required to navigate various mortgage software systems. Prior real estate loan processing experience is desired.
Physical, mental and visual requirements
The responsibilities of this position require sitting for long periods of time but, must also have the ability to move freely from one area of the building to another. Excellent visual, audio, and manual dexterity skills are needed, as the work ranges from extensive use of the telephone, personal computer, printer, and calculator. This position requires the ability to function in an environment of occasional high stress.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have professional appearance, pleasant personality, and good communication skills. Must be very accurate and detail oriented. Strong initiative is needed. Must be able to function as a team player and cooperate with co-workers, members, and business associates.
